Reusable assets for both
current and future projects.
- The modular assembly system
offers the advantage of an extended product life.
- The tool module also has an
extended life as it can be updated for new projects.
- One modular platform, the
"Tec-Flex" does it all- add options as
needed.
Run multiple tools in a
single machine.
- With today's production volumes,
typical customers are running three or more tool modules in
a single machine.
- Flexibility includes spot,
projection and MIG welding, staking, bushing insertion,
hole piercing, part marking and sealant application.
- Engineering changes can be
incorporated offline while running another tool module. This
allows you to keep earning a profit with the modular machine
while the change is being incorporated on another tool
module.
- Service parts can be efficiently
manufactured and effectively managed.
Capable of running multiple
parts in one tool module.
- This advantage allows you to
amortize the investment over multiple part
numbers.
Change-over in less
than five minutes by an operator.
- A machine operator with a tool
module cart can easily complete a change-over. This is
a safer and more efficient means of completing a
change-over.
- The modular system allows the
operator to connect the weld circuit, electrical,
pneumatics, poka-yokes, water, and call up the weld schedule
with one push of a button.
- No tools or forklift
required for a tool change-over.
Built to your component
parts standards.
- This ability helps to minimize
your investment in spare parts inventory.
Compact
Footprint
- Increased manufacturing
capability with less floor space.
Value added options
available:
- One, two, or three welding
transformers can be ordered initially - transformers can be
added later as well. This allows you to order the machine
for today's needs and adapt to future needs.
- Can be ordered for either AC or
DC welding.
- Multiple axes available using
pneumatic or highly accurate servo drives to move weld guns
or the part - whatever provides the most efficient
solution.
- Auto unload systems to chutes or
conveyor. Load times can be buried with two stations
next to each other. This is a practical way to maximize your
labor dollar.
- Rotary Dial is available to
facilitate load / unload while making parts. This
offers a cycle time advantage while still operating within
the compact footprint of the tool module.
Modular Systems can be
ordered with robotic applications to facilitate higher volume
requirements for multi-plane weld points.
- Faster than a robot alone, more
flexible than a dedicated machine. Typically capable of
making welds at one second per weld versus four
seconds per weld for a robot alone.
- Robot to facilitate the assembly
process can be ordered as a material handler, a sealant
applicator, a MIG welder or a resistance welder. If more
than one process is needed, end-of-arm tooling can be made
interchangeable for more
flexibility.
